Cuts & Layered Maps

Structures woven with experience, textures knitted with insight

Cut:  to make an incision, opening or wound with a sharp-edged tool or object; noun: the way or style in which something, especially a garment, is cut.

Layer: a sheet, quantity, or thickness of material, typically one of several, covering a surface or a body
Map: a diagrammatic representation of an area of land or sea showing physical features.

The Fabrics
Nothing heavy, nothing complicated, easy to wear, easy to care for:
-  A new generation of quilting debuts in the Winter Pre-Order 2004/05 collection. Two layers of different silks, padded with recycled cotton and quilted with Atlantic blue yarn in patterns borrowed from antique tapestries
- Textured finishes and the rough, yet exceptionally soft feel of felted wool with shaggy damask patterns
